5 REASONS TO HAVE A CELEBRANT LED WEDDING.

Celebrant-led weddings are on the rise. More and more couples are choosing to celebrate their love in this unique way. Once people have been to one, they know they need to do the same. Why is that?

 1. 100% personalisation:

Your ceremony is entirely about you. There’s no “insert name here” or formulaic templated ceremony when a celebrant is leading the charge. They will take the time to get to know you well so they can write a script that reflects you both through the telling of your unique love story. You’ve spent time and thought personalising every other part of your day — why should the ceremony be any different?

 2. You get to the know person marrying you:

There are lots of us celebrants out there, all with our own unique style. You can find the right person for you — someone you get on well with and trust to tell your story at one of the biggest moments in your life. If you get married by a registrar, you only meet them a few minutes before walking down the aisle.

3. Extra touches:

Some couples decide they just want a deeply personalised ceremony. Others want to add special touches or find ways to get their family and friends involved in the ceremony. Whether that’s a group sing-along to your favourite pop song, the guests toasting you with a shot of tequila as you walk down the aisle, a mid-ceremony quiz or a handfasting. If you work with a good celebrant, they will have tons of ideas up their sleeves. They can make lots of recommendations based on what might work for you personally.

4. Sets the tone for the day that follows:

Quite often, the ceremony is seen as the boring bit — before the fun actually begins (and the bar opens). With a celebrant, your ceremony itself can be the party starter and set the tone for the day that follows.

5. It's guaranteed to get people talking:

…for all the right reasons! Guests love seeing a celebrant wedding. It’s unique, meaningful, and in no way boring. It celebrates you, your love, and lets guests into your lives and parts of your story that they might not know about.
